Governor Akeredolu commiserates with family of model who was raped and murdered, police arrest boyfriend
Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has
asked the state police command to fish out the killers of a model and
graduate of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Ajila Seun, who was
raped and stabbed to death at her mother's home around Sunday Bus Stop,
Akure. Read here
The governor, who sympathised with the family of the
deceased, assured them that his administration would support the police
to fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
Consequently, police detectives have apprehended the victim’s
boyfriend, Ebenezer Adedamola, as a principal suspect. Adedamola’s
arrest was sequel to the information provided by the mother of the
deceased ,Yemisi Ajayi, to detectives during interogation.Her mother reportedly met her in the pool of her blood when she returned from work on Thursday and raised the alarm.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr.
Segun Ajiboye, Akeredolu said every part of the state would be
adequately protected.
The statement said: "Arakunrin Akeredolu is committed to
his administration's mandate of protecting lives and properties of
every resident in the state.
"Ondo State is not a haven or safe place for criminals
and their backers to carry out their heinous crimes. It is either they
change from their evil ways or the long arm of the law catches up with
them. Let Seun's killers be aware that they will be fished out wherever
they are hiding.
“The governor asks the state police command to go after
the killers for prosecution to ensure that the deceased and her family
get justice.
